Parkside Companions and Concierge, Inc.
Practical, personal support that helps seniors keep living independently - on their own terms, in their own homes, surrounded by the people and routines they trust.

Let’s Start the Conversation. No obligation. Just answers to your questions
How we help
Four commitments, one companion you can call.

Stay Home
Steady trusted circle.
A steady, trusted circle of people around your home - so you don't have to manage it alone. Remaining at home only works when the help that comes into it can be trusted. We vet everyone who comes through your door, and we stay attentive to the everyday rhythm of a home - so if something's off, it's noticed early and handled calmly, not discovered too late.

Stay Safe
We help create a predictable, watched-over life - so problems get caught early, quietly, and calmly.
Fraud and exploitation rarely announce themselves. A pattern that shifts. We stay attentive to the small things, so families have steady eyes on the ground long before anything becomes urgent.

Stay Connected
Staying in touch with family, joining a telehealth visit, or managing accounts online should feel simple, not stressful.
We teach at a comfortable pace, and we're a phone call away so technology stays a tool for connection, not another thing to worry about.

Stay Themselves
Clarity now means peace of mind later.
A power of attorney, a healthcare proxy, a documented set of wishes - we help you put these in place early, calmly, while every decision is still entirely yours.

Not healthcare, Not legal counsel - just care, perspective, and someone in your corner.
We're a companion and advocate - never a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, or licensed caregiver.
Personal, not scaled
We take the time to understand your circumstances, listen to your priorities, and guide you accordingly
Family included
We work with the families who hire us, and the seniors we serve - without ever crossing the line into their independence.

Why Parkside Exists
Founded by Lisa M Gregory
Lisa M. Gregory is an Administrative Housing Appellate Judge with the District of Columbia. She founded Parkside Companions and Concierge after witnessing firsthand how quickly an independent life can unravel - not from a single crisis, but from small, unnoticed gaps that no one was watching.
That belief came from experience. Two retired college professors were living quietly in their home - he still sharp and fiercely devoted, caring for her as her memory began to fail. When a concern was raised that the property taxes hadn't been paid and the house was at risk of a tax sale, what followed was six weeks of visits, growing concern, and an effort to help the couple protect what was theirs - a power of attorney, a plan, a path forward.
But the warning signs had been there long before long before anyone stepped in: isolation, a home in disrepair, a promised "social worker" who never followed through. And when the system finally intervened, it was to take it. Guardianship was granted. Their home was sold. Millions of dollars changed hands. Today, the couple remains together - but in a care facility that costs $17,000 a month. no longer in the home or the community they built their life in.

Parkside was built so that no family has to watch that happen again.
We built Parkside on a simple idea: peace of mind shouldn't require a crisis first. Steady attention, early on, is what keeps independence possible.
